Final Fling
Fizzgigs’ Final Fling will be happening for the 7th year on the Birch Road recreation field on Sunday 2nd November from 2pm.. ‘Fling’? What’s that? See previous years for pictures and details, but suffice to say anyone can bring along their halloween pumpkins and have them fired from a mock-up of a medieval trebuchet. There will be strange names ! There will be targets! There may be prizes (there was one last year). As ever with Fizzgigs, this is a free event so come on down to join in the fun. (Bring a flask of something warm and a blanket, perhaps?)
Winter Festival
As ever, Fizzgigs will be leading a lantern procession for Ellesmere’s Winter Festival on Friday 28th November. Father Christmas will be transported by a fantastical vehicle accompanied by music and a ribbon of light from the Wharf, around the town before being deposited at the Market Hall to enter his grotto. There will be opportunities on the 22nd and 25th of November to join lantern-making workshops in the Town Hall, so you could be part of the procession. Again, all free.
