As in previous years we held two community lantern workshops in the Town Hall on 23rd and 28th November, before the Winter Festival, so that children, parents and anybody else who may have been interested, could join us making lanterns for the Fizzgigs Winter Festival procession leading Father Christmas into town from the Wharf. This year we also worked together with the 2nd Ellesmere Brownies and Age Concern, helping to bring a creative spirit to young and old!
Community Lantern Making Workshops for the Winter Festival
We held one full day and one evening community lantern workshop, in the town hall in Ellesmere, where many children with mums, dads, grannies and grandads created and built their very own individual lantern to carry in the Winter Festival. Fizzgigs members also used the opportunity of a large space to finish one of their larger lanterns.
2nd Ellesmere Brownies
The 2nd Ellesmere Brownies had a lovely evening creating together with Fizzgigs and are looking forward to being in the parade with their flock of birds!
Age Concern
We started the workshops on 7th November, together with members of Age Concern, where a fun morning was spent all together making lanterns.
