The Winter Festival Parade did not happen in its traditional form this year due to the government restrictions for Covid-19. We looked at different possibilities to bring some lovelyness into Ellesmere around the Christmas time and were invited by two church groups to create an angel.
A large angelic figure appeared in the church grounds of St. Mary’s Church on the 5th December and prevailed over Church Street until a few days after Christmas. She was 10ft tall with a wing span of 18ft, created in individual parts by separate households following restrictions laid down at the time for Covid.
A second back-pack puppet angel appeared during the Nativity drive-thru.
