Once again, Fizzgigs will be leading Ellesmere’s Winter Festival, this year on Friday 29th November 2024. Father Christmas will arrive, as has become traditional, by narrowboat. He will be transported in a procession around the town to arrive, at last, at the Market Hall, where he enters his grotto.
Please come and join us in making lanterns and being part of the procession. The lantern workshops will be held in the main hall of the Town Hall on: Saturday, 23rd November from 1pm-5pm and on Tuesday, 26th November from 5pm-8pm.
The workshops are free – donations welcome – you will be shown how to construct a lantern from withies (willow) and waterproof tissue paper. This year’s theme has not been revealed!
