2022 ~ Winter Festival

This years winter festival was on Friday 25th November with the Community Lantern Workshops on 17th and 19th November where many families came and made their own signal lanterns to carry in the procession. The theme for 2022 was trains. The Brownies joined us with an 8 carriage long lantern train following our guardsman lantern and we had a fully working signal leading the main star of the parade, a full-size lantern model of Stevenson’s Rocket, with moving pistons and smoke to bring Father Christmas from the canal wharf into the town.
