On Sunday 5th November over 150 people converged on the Recreation Ground in Ellesmere for what is fast becoming a favourite annual event in the town. Nearly 50 pumpkins were thrown by the trebuchet, to much whooping and merriment from all concerned. As Nicky Stinton from Petton said, ‘It’s a lovely thing to do with a real community spirit.’
