In April we held an impromptu theatre performance in the beer garden of the White Hart in Ellesmere as part of the Shropshire Ale Trail. In a retake of the George and the Dragon legend, the baddie with the dragon kidnapped the landlady of our local pub. The now rather ancient George was unsuccessful in his attempt to slay the dragon, however, the resourcefulness of a peasant mother and her young child saved the day! The cast then revelled in throwing wet sponges at our director captured in the medieval stocks!
